Passenger Stairs

The Airside JetMaster (telescopic) and JetRamp (parallelogram) passenger stairs are designed to service narrow bodied, wide bodied and corporate jet aircraft with door sill height between 1800mm and 5800mm (70” to 228”). The designs are based upon the many years of experience within the Airside team providing a safe and user friendly modern passenger stair. You can choose from Chassis Mounted or Tow Type units.

  • JetMaster Chassis Mounted /Self-Propelled Passenger Stairs

The Airside JetMaster passenger stair units are self-propelled and can be mounted onto the Airside chassis or we can fit this onto any chassis of your choice with minimum 7,500kg (7.5 tons) GVW and cab height of 2286mm (90”). Suitable for Aircraft door sill height between 2000mm and 5800mm (78” to 228”).

    Self propelled passenger stairs

JetMaster is a telescopic design, where the upper stair extends hydraulically supported on stainless steel rollers and guide runners. A tilt system for the complete stair assembly combined with the telescopic mechanism provides a versatile height range within the guidelines of CEN.

Mechanical locks hold the extended stair at each individual step. Five hydraulic stabilizers provide total support for the complete unit when interfaced with the aircraft. The chassis/cab assembly is a rugged design to meet the daily requirements of airport use and yet simple in construction to allow ease of maintenance. The options for cab, engine, gearbox etc are comprehensive due to the modular design.

The complete unit is designed to CEN and IATA standards.

    Features

    • One man operation
    • Hydraulically operated telescoping stairs
    • Safety interlocks
    • Automatic mechanical safety locks on step elevation
    • Stainless steel roller assemblies
    • Available in two height ranges (MR / HR)
    • ‘Airside’ proven chassis/cab design

JetRamp is a parallelogram design with overlapping height range to provide versatility for operators and aircraft types. The design is well proven providing safety and ease of maintenance.

The heavy duty steel chassis is supported on four pneumatic wheels with brakes fitted to the front pair. Turntable steering provides an excellent turning circle. Extending stabilizers are positioned at the four load bearing positions. A mechanical locking mechanism supports the stair assembly when elevated at individual heights. The two top platform sidepanels are retractable with a lock to enable the aircraft door to be opened when interfaced. Rubber buffers protect the leading edges of these panels and the top platform frame.

The complete assembly is designed to CEN & IATA standards.

    Features

    • Hydraulically operated parallelogram stairs
    • Mechanical pawl locking stair support mechanism
    • Stabilizers
    • Diesel engine with auto gearbox
    • Heavy duty customised chassis cab
    • Sliding top platform panels with lock
